The NBA has taken a turn for the…better this offseason? We’ve all witnessed the trades heard ’round the world that shook up the league this summer, and while we have to get used to seeing Kyrie in Green and Melo and PG13 in the west coast, one of the more loaded transactions have come with the Cavaliers’ acquiring of former MVP Derrick Rose, the crafty, relentless playmaker in Isaiah Thomas, the veteran silky scorer in Dwyane Wade, and one of the better two way players in the game right now in Jae Crowder. A few other pieces have come to finish the puzzle like veteran players Jeff Green and Jose Calderon, and with two fists full of players who have done their fair share of producing in their careers, the Cavaliers have narrowed down their arsenal and condensed a starting five to put out onto the floor for the 2018 season. The starting lineup, per USA Today, will consist of Derrick Rose, Dwyane Wade, Lebron James, Jae Crowder, and Kevin Love.
There is no question that best friends Lebron James and Dwyane Wade can play together, as the two put on a clinic of immaculate passing between one another, unbreakable chemistry, and highlight tape almost every game back in Miami. The bond is the least of the concern for the Cav’s this season. Ultimately, granted the squad can steer free of serious injury, like Isaiah Thomas’ hip injury, we are almost certain to be seeing Lebron in his eighth straight finals appearance and hopefully, to avenge his 2017 loss to the historic Golden State Warriors.
